Hey mates!
Just a quick “i’m alive” kinda post. I’m ultra busy these days at the university, so very little spare time to post anything, least to build anything. I’m still using the prototype QuickS’Lathe™ as is (no time to finish the plans for the final version yet), though I added a dedicated variable power supply to it, so I can vary the speed to fit the task at hand.
The first of you guys (and gals) who guesses what wood these are made of will receive a similar one from me as a gift, no kidding (Mads, please don’t cheat, we talked about it once ;)
Any ideas? :)
Cheers!
Edit llwynog won the challenge: these are made of ivy ;)

These are very nice pens, problem is after Mads gets his (he has cheated already) & you give one away you will have to make another one for you.
I think the timber is “willburn” ::: ))))))

Thomas, Really nice looking pens. I’ll take a shot at Ficus.. using it now for some pens and with knots it looks pretty cool.

I really like these! Simple but really pretty. It kind of looks like some pearwood I have but something tells me this came from a weirder source. :)

Just turned some , looked a lot like this—just maple. Yours seem to have some spalting.
