Holiday parties always happen at my parents house problem was that the table they had wouldnt fit the whole family . So i decided to make them a table that we all could sit together and eat . Plus some entertainment after the big dinner .

That is sure different! Great job though.

That is great. It beats sitting around watching tv. Very nice project.

I used to love to play ping-pong, and was really good. Then I met up with this guy who put so much english on every hit that he put me to shame. I mean to tell you, he looked like he was swinging for the bleachers, but the ball would barely come off his paddle, when it hit my side it careened off to one side or the other, and I could never get a good slam on him. Anyway, I degress…
This is really nice, and I particularly like the benches. Can you expand on their construction?

Now when someone asks you to “serve” the mashed potatoes, things could get interesting. :-)

Excellent idea. Does the top flip over for serving food or do you just “serve on the court”? I would like to know what you used for the top as well.

blake cover and serve on the court . The flip up side is so you can practice solo.

When i looked up on the internet the regulations on a ping pong table it says it should be 5 feet wide and 9 feet long and that the thickness should be 3/4 with only 5 ply . With standard sheets being 4X8 i had to go to a custom store (cost me a good penny to get the 5 foot width) plus all they had was maple .

Jimboe, pretty cool. Love the fact that painted the stools to match.
