This is a custom daybed design. The customer was after something simple yet functional. We came up with this flat headboard design and added 2 drawers under it. The drawer were the same design I used on the recently completed Hospice job. Normally I have 3 drawer wide, but the 2 drawer offer a little more space in each of the drawers.
This bed was completed in August 2011 and was built using maple wood. The finish was a clear coat only.

Im working on a Captains bed right now. All curly Maple so this caught my eye! Very nice bed!
I also spy what looks like pockets from a porter cable pockethole machine…;) If you ever want someone to take it off your hands for a decent price let me know haha

I’d love to see that curly maple Captain’s bed. I’ll keep my eye out for it. On the pocket hole machine it a Castle. It is a big time saver. I couldn’t ever get rid of it, unless I was ready to get another one. It’s one of those tools that you think “how did I ever get along without it”.
