I agree with TC’s post. This just goes to show that you have a true LumberJock’s mentality since I assume the original grips were perfectly usable but needed replacing with wood simply because wood looks better.

Not only they look better, I bet they also “feel” better don’t they plus the pride and accomplishment felt that you did them yourself and they came soo darned good…. Yeahhhhh.
