This is a bass guitar that I made while I was in lutherie school. The way the wood is laminated in this instrument allows for the striking quality of carved laminates to really be showed off. The vibrating pattern is a direct reflection of a lot of music I’m a big fan of.

The body is figured walnut, maple and wenge. The Neck and fretboard are wenge and maple. The body has a nitro lacquer finish while the neck and fretboard are finished with shellac for a nice feel and to avoid the discoloration you get from ambered finishes.

Looks good. I’ve got four builds going on right now, but none quite this exotic (finished that one a while ago). Great to see some more guitars going on around here.
