Thanks to Bret for this idea a couple of weeks ago. The grandchildren are going to enjoy the Fleet when I finish making the rest.

Nice work! That is fantastic! The grandkids will love them. Are you giving them for Christmas or can you wait that long? ;)

Did you use 2x material?

I thought about making some trucks out of 2x to give them a “heavy duty” look.

There have been some other cars and trucks show up in the projects lately and all of them have been really cool.

I can’t wait to see the rest. :)

Thanks Brett, they are addictive to make! I grabbed a scrap chuck of 2×4 and started cutting and this is what came out, then drill a few holes with the Fostner bit, sand and paint. I just made another car with 3/4” stock and it is not as hefty as I would like. I have a lot of housing construction around me I’ll have plenty of scraps 2x’s to pick from.

The yellow table cloth did not capture well on my camera.

Those are the coolest. And in 5 years they will be heirlooms in the family. I look forward to seeing the rest.

Your grandchildren will love them. Nice going granddad.
