Garage Murphy bed

This is a :murphy bed”: that the customer wanted it to look like a garage display at their favorite race car museum. They send me some pictures and I came up with this design for them. The wood was oak to give the bed more if a siding feel to it. The windows were plexiglass mirrors. This was a fun project. One of the pictures above is what was sent to me.

It was completed in June 2011. Here are some building pictures:

Very nice! Did you use the Rockler murphy bed hardware? I only ask because the basic box and frame look very similar to the one I made. Of course, mine is unfinished with no trim at the moment, i.e. it looks like a big plywood box bolted to the whole!
