Thanks much! :)
And about the wood… Ha we actually couldnt figure it out! My dad just has this enormous rectangular block of it and figured I could make some cool boxes out of it, plus, it eliminated the glueing process! It had a sweet smell to it, but not quite like cedar. Its uncertain my friend.

Really very beautiful.
Does the vertical drawer slide smoothly?

I agree with Jim in the boxes resemblance to the movie plant.
I like the inclusion of the vertical drawer for chains and necklaces.
This looks like a fun BS box, with an overall whimsical feel to it. Nice execution!

Thanks a lot everyone!
The vertical drawer had some complications, mostly my own fault. But, after much sanding, nothing noticeable. It actually slides pretty nicely as long as you pull from the top, which is why i put the handle higher than i originally was going to. I think it would be a lot easier had i made it more like the bottom drawer where the base is flat on whatever surface you put the box on, rather than have it slide on the sharp edge. If any of that makes sense… :)
