You kind of have to be familiar with the culture of the island of Terceria to understand this project. On the island Bullfights are much different from the spanish kind where the bull dies and is very much a part of the island’s culture. Over the years many men have raised and bred fighting stock and when they did they created branding irons to identify their stock. When they transported their bulls to the different villages, they would do so in specially designed crates. The front door of each crate bore an enlarged carving of the breeder’s brand. This display is a miniature reproduction of the front doors of these crates of the current fighting stock breeders on Terceria and two in ontario. The center lower panel is a list of former breeders.

Paul- This will be displayed on a wall in a workshop where he has collected a huge assortment of memorabilia (cowbells, herding staffs, etc) from the island related to this sport.

My Friend- I can always expect kind words from you, even if they may not be deserved hahahaha

Thanks Chris, they are carved with my CNC then oversprayed with black paint and sanded back to bare wood. Then I added the strapping and finished them with clear laquer
