The (not so) Great Pumpkin

I made this for my 6 y/o granddaughter. I started with a nasty looking hunk of catalpa I’ve had in the shed since ‘08.

I painted it with watered down acrylics, I wanted the grain to be seen. The eyes, nose and mouth were cut out with a dremel, then burnt.

Catalpa hollow form , 6” x 6” , acrylic paints and spray poly finish

Hairy, that is really a nice Haloween decoration that you made for your granddaughter. It looks great. Nice going. granddad.

Been using the oak mallet you made me. Very powerful and precise. Whacks a chisel real good.
