Actually, it looks great, although my ex-wife would have been disappointed.
When we dated I thought she was a ‘lush redhead’. I learned later she was just a red headed lush!She was a great lady and you are a real craftsman!

Great use of scrap. Would you mind posting what angle the bottom needs to be cut?

We tried 37 – 45 the Ipe we did at 37 because of the weight of the wood. The cutting board scrap was 43

Also note that we bored the hole perpendicular to the wood, we did not bore the hole at an angle which I have seen done.
