Not a terribly exciting project, but after replacing two of my lithium ion batteries and a fried charger, I finally got around to making a charging station with an in-built timer. Replacement batteries are not inexpensive, and I’m told that leaving them on the charger for long periods of time reduces their useable life. And even if that’s no longer the case, it’s a handy way to get the chargers up off of the workbench and out of the way.
The quadplex outlet is controlled by an on/off/timer switch and the whole lot is mounted on a scrap of recycled 1×8 who’s first incarnation was as a shelf my wife’s grandmother’s garage. I suppose I could have shortened the power cord, but I had not yet determined where it would be mounted when I threw it together.

I made a similar thing a couple of years ago to charge walkie talkies , a dustbuster and nimh battery charger. Saves on electricity also.
