I have made my first two lathe turned spoons out of scrap wood. An oak spoon from a pallet board and a small scoop from a throw away piece of cherry.
Lathe turned for the shape, bandsaw for thickness and scoop shape, router to dig out the spoon/scoop, and a sander to shape further and for the scoop to thin it out and put an edge on it. It was small so it is really only good for coffee.

I haven’t seen a scoop done before.
Both are excellent.

Wonderful work, I especially like the Scoop..if I may ask, how to rout it out, have been trying to figure out a Jig for scooping out the spoons.
