I agree with Gary that the box looks great. I have really come to appreciate the effort and talent that goes into making these.
As a suggestion, if you have more pictures, why not post them. I would love to see the inside of the box showcased.
Gary would recognize this as curly koa but some of us can only recognize domestic hardwoods since we just don’t get exposure to exotic woods. I particularly like to see details on the finish. The finish, I feel, is just as important as the construction.

Yes, we do love to see as many photos as possible. But this is beautiful. Koa is at the top of my list of favorite woods. How does it open? Welcome to the site.

The box is finished with tung oil if i remember correctly, it’s only been 18 years.
“Technically Speaking” Koa is a Domestic hardwood found on the Hawai’ian Islands
