Curly maple table I am making as a wedding gift. It is not yet finished. It has been dyed and a coat of boiled linseed oil applied. Will upload more pics when it is finished.

wow, looks amazing with that dye! Is this with an aniline dye? Amazing, 3-dimensional figure. I’m not one to judge, but: great craftsmanship! Thanks for posting.

Oh yeah another beautiful period piece from deermann. When I see your name in my e-mail box announcing a project post I always gotta look. must share the dye/stain technique.

Wow, you really pulled the figure out with the finish.

Quite a beautiful project! The dye really does make this wood POP!

Usually I don’t like stain on wood projects, but with this one, you hit it out of the park. Great design and workmanship. The tabletop reminds me of flames. I’m referencing baseball since the Tigers won last night! I got some curly maple laying around and I might try this table or something like it soon.

Have your say...
