White wenge blank with a 2 band silver maple Celtic knot and kitless center band.

My first Celtic knot and although you can’t see it in the picture, the drill must have wandered off center since one side of the knot is bigger than the other. Not bad for a first attempt at a knot though I suppose.

Beautiful if you don’t mind me asking how did you make the band?

The center band blank gets glued to the upper blank before turning. Then they are drilled and turned as one unit.

It was in a grab bag of pen blanks. I haven’t looked into how/where to get more yet.

The knot is done by slicing the blank before you cut it and gluing in strips. The 2 line knot in that pen was done with 45-degree on opposing faces.
