This is a filing cabinet that I refinished. It’s made in 3 sections that stack up on a base with a separate top. Each section of the sides were not matched so it was difficult to get them stained uniformly. Some areas were coming out darker that others.I didn’t do anything with the insides. I used a dark Mahogany stain then 4 coats of semi gloss urathane.

nice job on the matching up the pieces with the stain, it definitely helped blend them together. If you hadn’t mentioned it I probably would not have noticed they are different pieces to begin with.

These are great shelves. I may be wrong but i thought this was a barrister shelf.
You’ve done a great job restoring it. I never would have guessed you had to match stains, it’s very good if not perfect.
