the first picture is of the last 5 bowls that I completed. 3 are black walnut (green) the blue one is maple and the little one on the end is the only kiln dried that Ive done and it is quilted maple. the third pic is was a gift that I did for our Masonic Lodge Xmass party. I didn’t realize that I had not posted this yet so here it is. I burned the square and compass in then waxed it with minwax.
Ok the blue one. This is my second attempt at coloring a bowl. Here I used blue food color and dentured alchol. I sanded the bowl to 320 then coated it with the die mix 4 times then sanded it again. I finished it with paste wax.
The last bowl is the largest that I have done to date. It measures 11 in across and almost 4 in deep.
Im getting a bit better and a bit faster at making these. I love it
Thanks for looking Wooley

All are nice, Blue is great. Color really distributed nicely for inexpensive food coloring. I used the same idea for coloring pens made from corn cob. Definately a cheap way to add dramatic color. Well done.
