Just a few simple handles I have turned for my files and rasps. From left to right they are made of figured walnut, pink ivory, curly maple, king wood, and curly maple. The finishes are all random.

Gosh, it’s hard to decide which one I like best. Where’d you find those handsome ferrules?
OK, I’ve made a decision which surprises me: I like the curly maple best. That was hard for me b/c I like to use Kingwood and walnut is my favorite wood. That maple one just connects with me. Did you hit it with tinted shellac or a tinted wax? It looks so warm and “used”. Lovely.

Bertha
Ferrules probably came from a piece of copper tubing

^Thanks DaddyZ, I keep forgetting to grab some at the big box. I ordered a crapload from LN in with a shotgun-size approach and I’m almost out of the useful sizes. I always prefered the copper to brass anyway. Thanks!
