Marblewood and Poplar Bandsaw Box

September, 2011—I glued up this blank almost 2-years ago. I cut the blank of marblewood on an angle and inserted a slab of poplar. Just something a little different. This box has one drawer. Nothing special at all in construction technique. Just a typical band saw box. Soda can in the last photo for scale.

This is sanded to 220 and given a heavy coat of oil. The drawer on this box is a little on the large side in my opinion. It could have been a two drawer box I suppose. I’m sure someone has something that will fit just perfectly.
