Built the toy box out of a recent wood mag for my brother’s wedding next spring, I must’ve really wanted to work as their wedding isn’t scheduled until april. The sides taper from about 16 to 14 and the front and back are set in 1/2”. Very easy construction, all butts and screws with plugs, but it’s solid and should work well. I’m going to give unfinished and let him and his wife decide.

Great toy box! That should last forever and ever after…

Nicely done.

Looks great! What issue of Wood were the plans in? I think I would like to give this a shot for my daughter.

Ended up finishing with just tung oil, (wish I’d done the inside pieces before I put it together, oh well lessons learned). Needless to say the couple loved the it, they decided to use it as a blanket chest and have it in front of their bed.
