Nativity Scene Ornament

This is another in the series of Nativity ornaments that I am making for the Christmas craft show that I will be in Oct. 1st. This one proved to be a challange from several standpoints. First of all I modified the pattern, somewhat, to be what I consider more correct. In making this change I had to figure a way to make sure the star was still supported. Second areas like the shepards staff are 1/16 inch wide. the whole thing is 5 1/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches wide.

It will get a coat of light walnut and some spray shellac.

That is a nice looking ornament. I can tell you spent some time on it. keep up the good work.

Your ornament is really outstanding, Jerrell! That is so pretty! I can see why it was difficult to cut. You did a great job though and I think the final results is well worth it!
