This client had a minimalist house and mostly modern furnishings. The clean lines were appropriate for the rest of the interior. MDF sprayed with Becker Acroma waterborne white satin.

Nice clean looking cover and shelves. How so the shelves stay up like that with no bracing?

Those shelves are 7’ long, torsion box construction with 1/4 mdf and softwood framing. Where the end fits into the far wall I left space for a cleat, then used concealed shelf supports from Hafele at 2’ centres. They are just a rod with a threaded end for inserting into a wall plug with eccentric adjusters – so you can level the shelf if you drilled the wall wrong.
