The picture on Scott`s page ( http://www.finewoodworker.com/build-a-maloof-inspired-shoe-bench.html ) inspired me to made it. I love it. It was very fun to build. I had a lot of sense during the process .

Beautiful. I love the slope and the lines, not to mention the proportion. Great work.

Beautiful. Can you explain how you made the side handles? They look as if they are part of the side supports (made from the same board). Thanks for posting.

Thank you all!

There are three boards for the side support. The one in the middle is thicker than others. Then the side support is grinded and shaped until the handle is formed.

It looks really nice and and functional and has a lot of style.

Great job. Looks just like the pics on Scott’s page. I love Maloof’s work…the lines are simple yet elegant. I will have to add this to my bucket list (already have “Build a Maloof Inspired Rocking Chair” which I need to complete). This is a great bench to add to a mud room or entry hall. Thanks for sharing it along with the inspiration.
