Here is yet another project that is in progress. It is a project for Sis-in-laws nursey which has a airplane motif. The first two are in progress pictures. The last pic is from wood magazine and shows what ‘it’ should look like. I am waiting on good weather as I am using a latex paint for the body of the plane and I have not been able to get it to lay down smooth and fla due to the cold. But as soon as I get some warm weather I will get the rest of this painted and my daughter and I will complete the assembly.

I really like the shelf – looks like a great addition to any child’s room.

That is a really nice shelf. It will a nice addition to the baby’s room. I think that it is great that your daughter is involved in the project as well. When she visits her cousin this shelf will be there to remind her of her part in creating this gift.

Nice post.

That’s a great looking shelf… very fun. What magazine does it come from?

Copperjock,

It is from Wood Magazine #179. I had lots of fun making the wings and the prop. Nothing beats a good bench vise when shaping small curves with sand paper.
