Made these 2 cabinets for a client who wanted sliding doors.
I’ts made from yellow pine with oak legs.
The door panels were sticking out to much to let them pass without hitting eachother,
so the 2 front doors of both cabinets had to be modified.
I routed a groove in front of the doors, so it moved forwards on the rail, and added a piece of wood on the back (pic 6) To get the thickness of the door back.
I also added reinforcement bars on the back of the doors to prevent the wood for working to much.
It’s a nice system where you can lift the doors just out of the rails, without having to remove anything.
These are the legs, triangular with a bolt trough the leg, and bolted to the base
at the client;

Thanks for watching!

I really like those. Love the wood, love the design. Was it hard to line everything up so they slide well? I’d love to make sliding doors, but worry about that part.
