An old co-worker of mine asked me to make a shadowbox for another old co-worker that is retiring from the Air Force. I worked with both of them when I was still active duty. He had drawn up the plans of what he wanted, with measurements and everything. I must say he was pretty close, as I only had to tweak a couple of his measurements to get everything to fit. The case is cherry with one coat of danish oil and several coats of wipe on Poly. The guns are non firing replicas and the badge is aluminum and was made on a C&C machine (I didn’t make it). The badge is screwed in from behind and the pistols are held in place with wire strategically placed to hide them. I used 1/2 inch plywood for the back, to ensure it would hold the weight. Comments welcome. Thanks for lookin.
Oh yeah! Your probably wondering why the nickname. When he gets fired up during a conversation he starts pointing at you while holding his hands in the form of pistols. So that’s why they call him Shooter!

I like the way you mounted the pistols without being able to see the hangers used. Great job!

Nicely done! A design I have never seen in a shadow box. Good job!

Very nice shadow box, and a very nice set of revolvers. My oldest grandson is a staff sergeant (missile tech)
at Malstrom AFB. Thank you and your buddies for your service to our country. Thank you for sharing.
