I made this coffee with the idea that i would have no glue or screws….a little too ambitous. it did end up getting glued up. The top is live edge cherry that was given to me by a fellow woodworker in central NY. He had it in his barn since the 80s when it was taken down from his own property. the legs are peruvian walnut. the center support is lacewood, and the pegs are zebra wood. i finished this piece with bush oil and satin poly. any crittisism or comments ecouraged. thanx for looking.

Nice design and wood choice! Live edges are always cool. How rigid/stable is the center brace? I really like its design.

Was that the intention on the center brace, or a necessity due to short boards? It looks great, and would be even more unique if it was unplanned.

Its funny you ask. I had thought about it, then after mocking it up and setting the top on to get a feel….I decided that it was too long. so i cut out that chunk and saddled it to make it shorter.

I give this a 2 thumbs up! I’m not a huge fan of unfinished edges, but this not only works, it’s very well done.

hey thanx cpt. I turned it over so the live edge is less exposed.
