(Otherwise known as a dust collector). The base is Oak and the legs are Purpleheart. No stain here.. just varathaned. The tops of the legs were cut on a 10-degree angle. The flat-bottomed holes are 1 7/8” in diameter to accommodate the glass votives. This project was built on an idea that I saw in ‘Weekend Woodworking’ magazine. The one in the magazine is slightly different and larger, holding six candles, but I decided to make mine from lumber stock that I had on hand.

Very nice! I happen to be working on one myself that is very similar.

Very nice piece, seems simple, yet so very effective with the contrasting colors.
