This is a nice router table. I am beginning to be a convert to finishing shop furniture. I generally have simply stopped after the construction and not put any stain or finish on the shop pieces I have made but, as is evidenced by this piece, finishing them out adds a nice detail to the piece.

Thanks for sharing.

Sharp!! I don’t have anything in my shop that nice. I bought a new router plate and need to build something to hold it but I’m sure it won’t be that nice.

Good work!

This is great. I love to see people make router tables, because it is such a great piece of shop furniture that is so personal. Everybody makes it differently. You will get a lot of great use out of this, it looks well made. You’ve got plenty of storage, and that switch looks good too.

You might consider adding a simple dust port under the router. If you make it airtight under the router and connect your shop vac, a lot of chips will get sucked down right around the bit. Not only does it keep things cleaner, the airflow also cools the bit and router motor.

Yea, I plan to put a 4” port under the table. I have one on my fence, but you are right, it’s not enough. Alot still falls underneath. I wish I would of put one on before I did my raised panels. What a mess!

Nice job! I’m planning one myself, so it is great to look at what other people are doing.

That’s far too nice for a wood shop, you must put it in the living room.

Great table Rob. I like the safety feature with the power switches close to hand.
