I’m in the middle of making oak countertops. I decided that when they are finished I want to see them as much as possible. So, I made a microwave stand to keep them a bit more clear.
I had two old pieces of oak, one with a live edge. I traced the live edge on the other and used the bandsaw to make matching brackets. A keyhole router bit & a two screws was all that was needed to hand them
I love the spalted brackets. And also, I like how the miter frame came out.
The pictures of the walnut slab are of a student from the college I teach at working on a project of his own.
He bought his would from a fellow lumberjock that I put him in contact with, Matt Alexander.
