This table was custom made for a customer. The shape was inspired by a butterfly inlay. I made this a long time ago but still thought I would post it.
Its purple and flame birch.
The picture doesnt do justice and kind of makes it look like a coffin but in actuality the top and bottom segmants are symetrical.

Beautiful wood. How did you joint the mitered center angle? Biscuits? Dowels? Spline? It’s very attractive.
