I’ve been a Type 1 Diabetic for almost 19 years now and when I heard that my company was headlining the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Washington, DC in May I decided that I would try to make a few things for their silent auction. The cutting board is of the end grain variant made from walnut and red oak and the picture frame is made from American chestnut. Both projects materials came from reclaimed/recycled wood. The cutting board went for $66 and the picture frame went for $100.

Your kind act will make the people who won the beautiful pieces happy as well as the foundation. Nicely done!
