Turned?
-- When questioned about using glue on a garbage bin I responded, "Wood working is about good technique and lots of glue........I have the glue part down."

Please tell me how you did it. How did you mount it on the lathe and how you finished it?

@Ovidiu: I start by cutting a square of wood. Then I use a forstner bit to cut the hole in the center where the ladies’ wrist will go. On the lathe I have a block of wood I mount in my chuck…that block of wood had a tenon turned on it. The tenon is a little more than a quarter of an inch long and just a tiny bit SMALLER than the inside diameter of the bracelet. Then I wrap masking tape around that tenon … enough so that when I put the bracelet blank on it’s snug (it doesn’t have to be really tight—just snug). Then I start to turn. I get one edge close to what I want then remove the bracelet and flip it around on the tenon to turn the other side.

@Ovidiu: On the finishing…I sand to 400 grit. I finish with a mixture of mineral oil and wax—it’s stuff I buy at the store. They sell it as a conditioner for cutting boards and butcher blocks.
