i made this for my step mothers 25th wedding anniversary, After i took the photos i placed ring holders in 2 of the drawers. i loved working with the brazilian cherry is machined well and had great figure! the doors are made of laminated maple burl, the blackened parts of the drawers were poplar stained black sanded and oiled. had a devil of a time with the weather 2 days after planning down all the lumber it rained for about 2 months warp twist and cupping are now dirty words in my work shop! the top and bottom are distorted in the photos but were flat in person. all comments and especialy critique are welcome

Awesome! I love the maple panels against the cherry.
