I found this wooden lock in FOXFIRE #6 and had to experiment with some scrap wood. I used my table saw and chisel to cut the groves. I filled in the kerf cuts with splines where needed. A little fine tuning and was pleasently surprized at how well it functioned. I think I’ll try another one with more tumblers and mount it on a door in the barn. This was a fun project.

Cool, inspiration abound. i always wanted to make a lock for my old night stand.
