I made this from Baltic Birch plywood. The size is 24” H x 8” Dia with 266 pieces. I put four coats of low gloss tung oil as finish.

Thats a nice looking vase. I have heard of using plywood for segmented bowl turning but have never tried it. Does it kill the edges of your turning tools? I would like to see you do a how to blog on this.

I love plywood art! Plywood isn’t just for subfloor anymore! It can be really beautiful and you certainly did a great job!

Plywood is no different on tools than oak or walnut. I just use a hone to keep the edge.Gerry

Very nice this is the 2nd project tonight that when you look at it your amazed its made out of plywood.

If I made one of these, my wife would expect me to buy her plywood flowers, like every week!
