Kitchen Island with a HUGE cuttingboard top

This is a kitchen island that I just finished. The base is just birch ply with poplar face frames and drawers. The topr if made from end grain blocks of pecan that was milled from a tree that used to be in my backyard! This is by far the biggest cuttingboard I’ve ever done. The finished top came out to 2 ft by 3.5 ft! I had to find someone with a very large pass through sander to get this finished. Looking forward to putting it to good use!

Sorry for the pic quality…the wife liked it exactly where it was and I dare not move it!
