This is another dream i remembered when I woke up the other day.
Having totally failed at a different design the previous day a thought I try Japanese and my wife ask if all those words ( FUJI MAKITA DIAWA ETC ) I was using while designing and building this piece where Japanese ?
The design is a interpretation of Japanese timber framing and I think it lends itself well to this candle holder.
Woods are northern spruce and jatoba for the inserts .
The candle cup is a multi size to fit various votives and tee lights and is done with three sizes of bits starting with the largest , this gives me the option of using different looks and also adds another decorative touch to the holder .
Thanks and please feel free to comment and destroy my dream .LOL

Thanks PRAKI
The wood is northers spruce for the frame and jatoba for the candle cups.
The finish is black spray paint and watco oil natural on the cups.
I am thinking of maybe coating it with spray lacquer but we all like the contrast right now as it makes the cups stand out a bit.
I will see .
