Here is the second chunk off the burl from MN. This was was a wild ride, but eventually did get somewhat stable during the turning. I might put it back on the lathe at some point, but I’m at the point where it may end up sawdust if I do anymore because of the inclusions under the bowl. Huge crater missing. Hope it inspires others. Scary, but not undoable.

Beautiful bowl, getting it to that point takes a real steady tool and lots of patience as well as the ability to
ignore the helicopter like sound of the object turning and threatening to send the bowl and/or the tool flying.
Thank you for sharing and I hope you have luck in your search for more burls. I also like those small turnings
to prove that you really have mastered your lathe and woodturning.
