Hello LJ’s

Last week I spend some time on these boxes. Nice simple projects are fun to make between other complicated projects or in times when shoptime is hard to find.

I made some photo’s and put them together to a slideshow

I admire your work and really appreciate that you take the time to organize and post all these photos. This is harder than the woodworking for me.

@Ian : the inside is very standard,just the ash. The bottom has a layer of brown velvet on it

The veneer is easy to apply. I took a piece of 3 mm MDF, spread the glue on it and stuck the veneer on it.
Than a piece of fat-free paper on top, a 18mm piece of MDF and than a lot of weight (4 pieces of lead!!)
I waited for a day, then I could cut it all to side on the tablesaw

Sweet boxes, nice work.
I see we are both using Festool saws.

We call festool “the green plug virus” LOL

They make great machines but you should look af MAFELL also. Very nice stuff !!
