My first post! After seeing such nice stuff here I have been apprehensive about showing off my work. I started making bandsaw boxes a few months ago and my son really liked them and asked me to make him one. He is a blacksmith so I thought the anvil would be a bit different. The fish I just liked!

You did a great job on those boxes! You don’t need to be apprehensive about your work. As long as you are happy with it and are enjoying your time in the shop, that is all that matters. I haven’t made a bandsaw box yet but I hope to get around to it at some point. The anvil is my favorite.

That anvil is by far the coolest idea for a bandsaw box I’ve seen yet. great job. Dont feel bad about any project you do. We are our worst critics, so my wife keeps telling me. I always feel like Im making the kind of thing that will eventually end up on a shelf at the goodwill selling for fifty cents. But you have to keep making the peojects if nothing else to hone skills and technique.

I once tried fishing with an anvil. Not so great yields actually… ;p

You’ve got nothing to be ashamed of with either of those projects. Great job. The anvil is very creative.

I had to look at it twice. I thought it was the real thing—the anvil, I mean.

Very creative boxes. I also thought the anvil was real.

They are unusual boxes and very nice. Congratulations.

Well done… keep the posts coming. Nice touch to the anvil… obviously, you didn’t use a sledge hammer to it.

the fish is cool… I’m wondering, should it have an eye?
