This project hardly involves the shaping of wood, but I very much liked the result. I made these as Christmas gifts last year from veneer scraps and piano sheet music, with a spray acrylic finish.

Like it, great gift idea. How do you stop the veneer splitting?

The wood is quite strong to begin with as long as it’s treated nicely. Gluing the paper on top stabilized the wood further, creating quite a strong sandwich.

Clever and great idea for those small pieces of veneer.

My grandkids would ask how it attaches to the mouse though.

Steve.
