My friend is expecting a baby and she asked me to make this table for her. It’s as basic as it gets and that’s what she wanted (she sent me a picture of another table). The table is 10×10x30, if I remember correctly, and it’s made from select 1 pine to keep the cost down. I needed an excuse to try out pocket hole joinery so that’s what I used here instead of mortise and tendon joinery (and a heck of a lot easier).

Finished off with puritan pine stain, which I’m very disappointed they discontinued, and 2 coats of semi-gloss poly. The one picture is when it was still wet from the poly, so that’s why the color is a bit different from the other picture.

Nicely done. At first glance it appears to be oak, so good job with the staining.
