The wifey has been asking me to make her some bookshelves for a while now and I finally got around to it. The case is 30×78 and made of red oak plywood and solid red oak for the face. Since red oak is pretty expensive I didn’t want to by 1×12’s for the shelves so I just used oak plywood and veneered the fronts, works for me. Enjoy and thanks for taking a look. =) Oh yeah…she already said it will be filled up in no time and she’ll need another. Ha!

Very nice, those real wood bookshelves are head and shoulders above the particle board ones sold in stores.

I prefer plywood for that application, much more stable over the long term. Nice work!
