Here is a new roof rack I made recently for my pickup truck….
all just painted pressure treated and left overs..
the top is from some leftover kitchen shelves, a freind that ordered a few extra(thank you Barbra).....

rob half a dozen self tapping screws…
each one has a shear strenth of about 600lbs so I did three down each side and it seems to be aok so far….
I usualy only carry ladders on there and I sleep up there when I go truck camping…..

Very nice. I like those racks as well. Plus using them as a bed platform is great. They will work well if you get kicked out of the house (of course I wouldn’t want to try that this time of year wait until the weather is warmer).

thanks for the tip.. these are from sevileclasics and they are stainless steel(a bit more expensive but worth the cost) they seem to be holding up aok
