This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Your craftsmanship is evident in every detail about the piece.

Very nice work.
I am envious of your talent.

How did you form the curves?

This is a beautiful piece you have created. Do you make your own veneers?

I REALLY like everything about this piece. Contrasting woods, joinery, edge details, finish. Neat!

Would one call this a clipped demilune?

Thanks to all for you nice comments. I made this piece for friends of mine as a wedding present. I made two identical consoles at the same time actually: this one was birch/walnut, the other one was white ash/mahogany.
The veneer on the apron on the one posted here is red gum which I find beautiful. This was a remnant from a private jet interior job at C&D Aerospace, where I worked at the time. They usually chucked all the remnants to the trash…not while I was there they weren’t!!!
To answer Chris, I never make my own veneer, I find everything I need at local suppliers or on Ebay.
