This was a fun one. Had some good challenges with the middle arched section being functional drawers and the oval panel doors. It was constructed in two pieces. Everything above the arched drawers was seperate from the base.

Ziller, wow what a great piece. Did you make it to fit the space or had you had an idea for the piece and it just happened to go there? Thanks for sharing I really like the half arches on the doors.

This is an exceptional piece of furniture and my sister in law would go crazy over it. Did you draw up the plan or did this plan come from a public source who sells plans?

Looks great. You did a fantastic job building it. The antique finish is nice but what type of wood does it cover up?

Thanks everyone for looking at my project I really appreciate the kind words. I also did a project blog on this piece if you’d like to see it.
landog & yankee – I hired out for the finish. It’s painted over stain and distressed. The picture doesn’t show it as heavily textured as is actually is. Stained behind the doors.
jace robert – It was made for that space. I also did the rest of the kitchen. I’m gunna post some pics on that soon.
helluvareck (nice name) – I drew this plan up on Sketchup
greg – Maple plywood. Poplar and Alder solids. Mostly poplar but on the big doors I couldn’t find any decent stock of poplar at my supplier so I went with Alder for the stiles.
