My first time at bowl turning

The wood used was Yupitan rosewood. A simple candy bowl that has a great finish. Added a groove on the top so I could add a light turqoise/jade colored crushed stone to help accent it. The wood is tough…it hit the floor two different times while in some of the final stages. Definitely was GREAT practice as each tool used has a different use. A thousand thanks to my friend Andy for all the time spent in teaching me and letting me use his wood shop.

Glad to hear it hit the floor not you.
Very cool first bowl.

Dang fine bowl.

That’s a very nice bowl. I like the added top ring.
The wood is beautifull.
