First, let me apologize if this isn’t the proper place to post this project. It seems to meet the criteria of being a project made of wood (mostly), although technically it isn’t completely finished, it is getting close. Besides, I couldn’t find anywhere to post shop projects.
Almost a year ago I was lucky enough to find a house that my Wife really liked and had the dream shop I had been lusting for ever since beginning woodworking (I must be living right). My last shop (see photos on my shop page) was small, the third bay of a three car garage, with some overflow into the other bays. It was approximately 12’ x 22’ (roughly 260 sq ft). My new shop is 2 stories, 32’ x 36’ on the ground floor and 16’ x 36’ upstairs. Total around 1700 sq. ft., and it has a 12’ x 32’ covered porch (patio). The bottom floor is divided into two bays, 20’ x 32’ and 16’ x 32’. Upstairs is all one large room. Even better, it was unfinished except for a dozon can lights and 4 electrical outlets.
It does have 200 amp service, a bathroom with a shower and a whole lot of potential.
Following posts will show my nearly year-long project (assuming they don’t get deleted) of making this into a Woodshop.
Thanks for looking.
Rick

You are a very, very lucky guy. I would love to have half that space. Can’t wait to see it up and running.

Killer! I am so jealous….I’m working out of the the 3rd bay of our garage, but with 2 young kids, shop time is limited…..very limited.

Excellent shop. It is obvious where you will be spending all of your spare time from now on. It is great that you have a bathroom with a shower. I have a very nice shop but the best I could do for a bathroom is a 3/4” hose running through the outside wall with a funnel inside. It keeps the plants watered anyway…
